October 5th and 12th
11 am - 4 pm* Oconee Family Fall Festival at Sacred Heart School Grounds. Hayrides, Facepainting, straw maze, water balloon launch, pumpkin painting, crafts, bake sale, lunch stand, kettle corn, homemade ice cream, caramel apples, funnel cakes, and more. www.OconeeFallFestival.com*
October 17th
4:30 - 6:30 pm* Tirck or Treat for Canned Goods. The Moulton Middle School will be holding their drive again. Kids in groups of 3-5 will be going door to door in Shelbyville and asking for donated goods. Items will be taken to the Food Pantry in Shelbyville. Please only canned items.
October 18th
10 am - 2 pm* The Villas of Holly Brook will be having a Fall Festival. Food includes chili, hot dogs, and tacos in a bag for donation. There will be face painting, a bounce house, raffle, bake sale, carnival games, live music and more. Proceeds will be split between the schools helping. If rain, this will be rescheduled.
24th
6:00 pm - ?* Children's Halloween Party at Shelbyville VFW. Weiner Roast and Prizes Awarded. Judging at 6:30 pm. Call 217-774-4829 for more info.
4:30 pm - ?* Stewardson Halloween Festival at the Community Building
25th
6 - 10 pm* Cowden Community Halloween Party hosted by the Cowden EMS at the First Christian Church in Cowden. Games and prizes for all ages. Costume contest for kids, adults and couples with prizes awarded in each. Hot dog and chips will be available. A DJ and dancing starts at 8 pm.
7:00 pm - ?* Adult Halloween Party at Shelbyville VFW. Call 217-774-4829 for more info.
5 - 7:30 pm* Soup Supper and Halloween Parade at American Legion in Windsor. Soup supper starts at 5 with a menu of chili, vegetable soup, potator soup, sandwich, dessert, and dink for donations. The parade starts at 6:30, it will meet at the library and parade down Maine Street to American Legion. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, an d3rd place will be given for the following categories-under 3 years, TV & movie characters, witches, ghosts, and goblins, super heroes, princesses, animal characters, most original, adults, misc, and grand prize.
5 pm - ?* Strasburg Annual Halloween Celebration: Soup Supper starts at 5 pm with chili, chicken noodle soup, BBQ, hotdogs, polish sausage, chili dogs, pies, soft drinks, tea, coffee, & hot chocolate. The Stew-Stras Band will play at 7 pm to kick off the masked parade at 7:30. The cake walk will follow. There will also be a 50/50 and merchant drawings. Call 217-644-3007 for information.
October 26th
5 - 6:30 pm* Trunk or Treat at Smyser Christian Church in Windsor.
5 - 5:30 Trunk or Treat 5:30-6:30 pm cookout, crafts, 6:30 Hayrides* Fall Family Festival/Trunk or Treat at Shelby Christian Church at 200 N Hickory in Shelbyville. s'mores, weinie roast, hayrides. Prizes for costume categories. To host a trunk call Corie Petty at 217-358-4145. Please no scary Halloween decorations. FREE, raffle drawings.
October 28th
5 - 8 pm* Annual Haunted House & Chili Supper at Shelbyville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center at 2116 W S 3rd in Shelbyville. For more info 217-774-2128.

7 - 10 pm* Nightmare on N. Second St. Haunted House. 301 W N 2nd St. Donations will be accepted in hopes of a bigger and better show next year.
October 30th
6:00 pm* 6th Annual Shelbyville Candy Run-Downtown. Contact Corner Copy Print Shop if your business would like to participate. Contact 217-774-7806 for more information or if you would like to be a participating business.
5 - 7 pm* Moweaqua Lions Club will be hosting a trick or treat in Central Park. There will be various activities for children in the park and everyone is encouraged to wear costumes.

6 - 8 pm* Shelbyville Manor & Hawthorne Inn are hosting Trick or Treating for the little ghosts and goblins.
