October 2nd, 9th, 16th
11 am - 4 pm Oconee Family Fall Festival at Sacred Heart School Grounds. Hayrides, Facepainting, straw maze, water balloon launch, pumpkin painting, crafts, bake sale, lunch stand, kettle corn, homemade ice cream, caramel apples, funnel cakes, and more. www.OconeeFallFestival.com*
October 20th has changed to Octboer 26th due to the weather
11:45 am - 3:45 pm` Providing Accessibility: General Dacey Trail Hay Ride: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville and the General Dacey Trail are providing access to the trail for those who are physically unable. This hay ride will provide a service to those who may not have the opportunity to experience what the General Dacey Trail has to offer. Tours are available at Noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm. Call 217-774-3951, ext 2 to make a reservation. Space is limited, walk ups will be accommodated as space is available. To start the hay ride, meet at the Shelbyville Aquatic Center in Forest Park.
October 21st
4:30 pm - ? Stewardson Halloween Festival at the Community Building. Sponsored by Stewardson American Legion and Auxiliary. Soup supper starts serving at 4:30. Menu includes chicken noodles soup, chili, BBQ, hamburgers, polish sausage, homemade pies, coffee, hot chocolate, cola drinks. Donations will be taken for the supper. Stews-Stras band will play at 6 pm with the grand masked parade at 6:30 pm. There will also be a cake walk following costume judging, and a drawing
October 21st & 28th
5 - 6:30 pm

Dacey's Hollow Haunted Trail at the General Dacey Trail head in Forest Park.  Cost will be $2 per child.  Come out and enjoy the kid friendly haunt while helping to restore the Historical Chautauqua Building.  It'll be a scream. Follow on Facebook-Daceys Haunted Trail. This haunt is recommended for ages 12 and under.

October 22nd and 29th
5 - 9 pm

October 28th
5 - 9 pm Strasburg Annual Halloween Celebration: Soup Supper starts at 5 pm with chili, chicken noodle soup, BBQ, hotdogs, polish sausage, chili dogs, pies, soft drinks, tea, coffee, & hot chocolate. The Parade starts at 7 pm with judging at 7:30 pm.. The cake walk will follow at 8pm. There will also be a merchant drawings. Call 217-644-3007 for information. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: storybook and fairy tales, TV and movies, clowns and hobos, monters, ghosts, and witches, cowboys and indians, military, animals, misc, under 3 years old, and adult.
6 pm - 8 pm Downtown Shelbyville Candy Run. Participating businesses will have a table or stand set up near or inside the front door and will have a Candy stop sign on their window or door. (Businesses: if you would like to participate, please contact 217-774-7806)
6 - 8 pm? VFW Post 4829 Children's Halloween Party. Shelbyville. There will be chili and hotdogs, a cake drawing, prizes, and fun. Call 217-774-4829 for more info.
6 - 8 pm Cowden's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
5 - 8 pm Tower Hill's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
5:00 pm - ? Findlay American Legion Soup Supper and Costume parade. Supper includes chili, chicken and noodles, salads, and desserts. Donations will be accepted. A costume parade will follow in 16 categories with prizes in each for the top 3. The parade will be at 6:30 with judging at 7 pm.
October 29th
5 - 8 pm Tower Hill's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
5:00 pm Shelbyville Rotary Parade. Will be held at the Chautauqua Auditorium in Forest Park. Judging will begin at 5 pm.
5 - 7 ?? Windsor American Legion Soup Supper and Halloween Parade. Supper begins at 5 pm. The parade will line up at the Library at 6:30 with the parade following.
October 30th
5 - 7 pm Trunk or Treat at Shelby Christian Church from 5-5:30, a free cookout and games from 5:30-6:30 and hayrides from 6:30-7 pm
October 31st
6 - 8 pm Findlay's Trick or Treat Night. Please remember to only go to houses with the porch light on. Make sure your parents check your treats before consuming
6 - 8 pm Shelbyville Manor and Hawthorn Inn in Shelbyville will be hosting trick or treaters. Be sure to bring your camera to take a picture of your child in the selfie station provided by Paddi's Air Filled Fun.
